Residual stress measurementResidual stress measurement

Residual stress state of a material results from the superposition of many different factors such as heat treatment, grinding, rolling, shot peening, nitriding, polishing and others. The stress that a material experiences is a sum of applied and residual stresses, latter of which is relatively difficult to evaluate with common means.

Stresstech´s X-ray stress analyzer XSTRESS 3000 offers highly efficient solution to this need. XSTRESS 3000 measures the stresses imposed on crystallite material by X-rays, based on the phenomenon known as Bragg´s Law.
